About the Role
We’re looking for a kind and friendly volunteer to share a love of music with one of the gentlemen we support. This is a lovely opportunity to make a meaningful one-to-one connection through music.
What you’ll be doing:
- Spending time making or listening to music together
- Singing, playing an instrument, or simply enjoying musical sessions
- Creating a relaxed, enjoyable and supportive atmosphere
What we’re looking for:
- An interest in music (any level or style welcome)
- A warm, patient and friendly approach
- Confidence engaging with someone with mental health needs
This is a simple but very rewarding role where your time and shared enjoyment of music can make a real difference.

Milestones Trust is a health and social care charity supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and complex behavioural needs. The Trust provides residential, nursing and supported living services to over 500 people living in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire.
As with all our volunteer roles, a DBS check will be required, and we will request two references. Volunteers will also need to complete our online or in-person training before starting their role. Ongoing support will be available from both the volunteer team and a designated member of staff within the service.
