We are looking for a volunteer to regularly play chess with an individual living in one of our mental health services in Brislington. The role involves spending time playing chess with a resident in their home and, if possible, accompanying them to a local weekly evening chess club from 7:30–9:00pm.
We’re looking for someone who can confidently play chess and brings a warm, friendly attitude with a good sense of humour. Full training and guidance will be provided by the service.
As with all our volunteer roles, a DBS check will be required, and we will request two references. Volunteers will also need to complete our online or in-person training before starting their role. Ongoing support will be available from both the volunteer team and a designated member of staff within the service.
