We are looking for a volunteer to help us set up and maintain a small raised bed courtyard garden for our community. We hope to hold a fortnightly gardening session for our community members. There will be varying levels of gardening experience and English language so our volunteer will need to be patient and open minded.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 hours a fortnight - essential
- Gardening experience - essential
- Confident to guide and teach others in the garden – essential
- Friendly, welcoming, inclusive and non-judgemental approach to supporting all people – essential
- Willing to complete DBS check
Duties
- Plan and deliver garden activities
- Support attendees by explaining tasks and making them feel welcome
- Sowing seeds
- Potting on plants
- Watering
Volunteer will need to commit to fortnightly Tuesdays 12:30pm-2:30pm (the session will run 1pm-2pm).
