We are looking for a volunteer to support the upkeep of the garden at one of our mental health services near Filton. The role involves general gardening tasks and helping keep the outdoor space tidy, welcoming, and enjoyable for residents. This can take place weekly, fortnightly, or once a month, with flexibility to suit the volunteer’s availability.
Individuals at the service may wish to get involved in gardening activities, although this will vary, and some may prefer not to participate. We’re looking for someone friendly, patient, and comfortable working independently or alongside individuals when appropriate.
Full mental health awareness training will be provided, along with guidance relevant to the role.
As with all our volunteer roles, a DBS check will be required, and we will request two references. Volunteers will also need to complete our online or in-person training before starting their role. Ongoing support will be available from both the volunteer team and a designated member of staff within the service.
