We are looking for a female volunteer to support a learning disability service for women in Almondsbury. The role involves helping to maintain and care for the garden, keeping the outdoor space tidy and enjoyable for the residents. This can take place weekly, fortnightly, or once a month, with flexibility to suit the volunteer’s availability.
Residents may sometimes wish to join in with gardening activities, although this will vary from person to person. We’re looking for someone friendly, patient, and comfortable working independently or alongside residents when they choose to get involved.
Full training relevant to the role—including learning disability awareness—will be provided.
As with all our volunteer roles, a DBS check will be required, and we will request two references. Volunteers will also need to complete our online or in‑person training before starting their role. Ongoing support will be available from both the volunteer team and a designated member of staff within the service.
