The Reuse Team at Bristol Waste run Reuse Shops at the three Recycling Centres (Avonmouth, St Phillips and Hartcliffe Way).

We work to keep usable, functioning items out of the waste stream (i.e. landfill, waste to energy and recycling), we do this by checking, testing and selling these items at affordable prices via our Reuse Shops to members of the public.

Our first shop at Avonmouth Recycling Centre opened in June 2020 and sells everything from TVs to sofas to crockery; since opening we have diverted more than 70,000 items!

Since then we have opened the Little Reuse Shop at St Phillips which focuses on gardening equipment, smaller furniture and bric-a-brac. And in June 2022 we opened a purpose built store at our new Hartcliffe Way site which sells electricals (including IT equipement), large furniture and DIY tools.

We are always looking for volunteers to help us; from helping customers on the shop floor to testing and cleaning items ready for sale. Our friendly team of staff are on hand to help, and training is provided - so no prior experience needed, just a passion for all things reused, pre-loved and second hand!
