About us Bristol Jazz Festival is a volunteer led charity that brings world-class jazz to the city while supporting local artists and audiences.
The role We’re looking for a practical, tech-confident volunteer to help keep our website and email systems running smoothly.
This is a light touch but important role, helping us present our work clearly and professionally to audiences, artists and partners.
Your main focus will be to:
• Bring the website fully up to date (events, listings, key information)
• Review and make better use of our archive content (past festivals, artists, media)
• Improve site navigation so visitors can quickly find what they need
These are important pieces of work that will have an immediate impact, but can be tackled gradually.
In addition we use Google Drive for sharing documents etc. The files and folders require organisation and rationalising. Key responsibilities (ongoing)
• Maintain and update our Squarespace website
• Ensure content is accurate, current and easy to navigate
• Support the smooth running of our email system (Ionos), including basic troubleshooting • Upload and schedule content in line with festival activity
• Suggest simple improvements to how we manage digital content
What we’re looking for
• Confidence using Squarespace or similar
• Basic understanding of email hosting and management, Ionos or similar
• A proactive, reliable approach
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to commit a small amount of time consistently each week
