I am part of the team that organises Bristol Jazz Festival

Bristol International Jazz and Blues Festival aims to:

  • produce a world class jazz, blues and contemporary music festival that celebrates Bristol and the surrounding region’s varied and diverse cultures; acknowledge the heritage that influences the music we present
  • present established musicians and emerging talent from across the UK and internationally and in particular showcase the best musicians from Bristol and the surrounding area
  • inspire and stimulate children and young people by taking music to their schools and communities and encouraging them to enjoy and participate in music
  • make the best use of local businesses, expertise and resources in order to make the maximum contribution to the local economy
  • create work opportunities for our region’s musicians and contribute to the further development of Bristol’s music industry
  • operate in an ethical, sustainable and environmentally responsible way and encourage our partners, suppliers and audiences to do the same
  • promote the distinctive creative and entrepreneurial culture of Bristol nationally and internationally.
