You will be an essential part of our team helping us create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in our cafe within our friendly local community hub. Your friendly personality and team spirit will contribute to creating a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who comes into our cafe.

You will directly impact our charity's mission and help provide a friendly and welcoming place for our local community. You will be part of a team fostering a sense of community by engaging with and building relationships with regular customers.

You will have the opportunity to:

- Foster a sense of community by engaging and building relationships with regular customers

- Work alongside our team to serve our customers with food and hot/cold drinks

- Greet and serve customers with a friendly manner

Experience, skills and person specification:

- Reliable, committed and a positive friendly manner

- Good verbal communication skills

- Basic food handling knowledge (training given if required)

- Confident working with people independently

 

Tasks and responsibilities:

- Assist with food and hot/cold drinks preparation

- Taking payments at the til

- Keep café areas clean and tidy including wiping down tables, handling dishes and ensuring a hygienic environment

- Attend all induction sessions and ongoing training as required
