We are looking for volunteers to support our clients at Kingsmeadow @ MadeForever with practical support such as welfare benefits form filling, reading letters, help with applications, processing food parcel requests and to provide befriending, mentoring, encouragement and support to help K@M4E clients engage in activities/services that will improve their wellbeing.

Experience, skills and person specification:
- Knowledge of welfare benefits issues or a willingness to learn
- Reliable, committed and a positive friendly manner
- Good written, listening and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Good IT skills and some experience of using a database
- Confident working with people independently both face to face and by phone
- Kind, patient, gentle and understanding
- Enjoy motivating others and bring out the best in them
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Assist clients to complete welfare benefit forms
- Act as an advocate for individual clients, where necessary
- Follow up with clients to report on casework outcomes
- Keep accurate, confidential casework records
- Attend all induction training sessions
