One Care (One Care | NHS) has been funded through the ICB (Homepage - NHS BNSSG ICB) to support Social Prescribing and VCFSE organisations to complete their Data Security Protection Toolkit.

This means that our service is completely free to VCFSE organisations in Bristol.

The Data Security Protection Toolkit is an online self-assessment tool that is completed annually by all organisations that process health and care data.

It measures their performance against the National Data Guardian’s ten data security standards. If a Social Prescribing and VCFSE organisation has access to NHS User data through referrals from your local GP Practice it is vital that a DSPT is completed. This ensures that all user data is being handled and stored securely, and correct procedures are being followed.

We will provide your organisation with hands-on guidance and support to complete their DSPT. This includes providing policy templates, guides and 1-2-1 support sessions.

Our support is until January 2026 and will be both online and in person, depending on what suits the organisation.
