One Care is the GP federation that represents and supports general practice in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

One Care (One Care | NHS) has been funded through the ICB (Homepage - NHS BNSSG ICB) Until January 2026 to support Social Prescribing and VCFSE organisations across Bristol to complete their Data Security Protection Toolkit. This means that our service is completely free.

The Data Security Protection Toolkit is an online self-assessment tool that is completed annually by all organisations that process health and care data. It measures their performance against the National Data Guardian’s ten data security standards.

If a Social Prescribing and VCFSE organisation has access to NHS User data through referrals from your local GP Practice it is vital that a DSPT is completed. This ensures that all user data is being handled and stored securely, and correct procedures are being followed.

We will provide your organisation with face to face or online hands-on guidance and support to complete its DSPT. This includes policy templates, guides, and 1-2-1 support sessions.
