Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of life or living with grief can access the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters through our 7 hospices, Grief Kind spaces and online counselling and bereavement services.
We are looking to find friendly people who are looking to join a growing volunteering team whilst helping to raise much needed funds for those who use our services.
The Role – Charity Shop Till Volunteer
You will help us to:
- Serve customers on the till (full training provided)
- Receive donations from our supporters
- Welcome, greet or help our customers and donors with their queries in the shop
- Answer the telephone and support with answering questions or forwarding to the appropriate team member
We are happy to reimburse reasonable travel expenses.
We are an inclusive charity and welcome all people with differing abilities and support needs.
Please note - we do have a minimum age requirement in our shops of 18
You don’t need any experience to join us as a volunteer, you just need to be willing and helpful with a flexible and enthusiastic approach. Full training is provided and we can be flexible around your availability.
In return for your enthusiasm, you will have the opportunity to be part of a wonderful team, gain new skills and experience, and most importantly contribute towards making a difference to our service users and their families.
