Milestones Trust is a health and social care charity supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and dementia. The Trust provides residential, nursing and community support services to around 750 people living in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset areas.
A person we support in one of our Supported Living services in Hanham is looking for a volunteer to join her for fun and sociable activities out and about in the community.
Activities could include crafting, having a cup of tea at a café, attending beauty appointments and going to the cinema. The individual is very independent and would love to meet someone with similar interests to go out and about with.
Can you help?
We are looking for someone who is confident and outgoing, who likes doing fun activities and making new friends. Ideally this would be a weekly volunteer role. The individual is looking for someone with similar interests to share them together, and to get out into their community more.
We can cover travel and some activity expenses.
Please note, for all of our volunteer roles a DBS check will be carried out and references will be taken up. All volunteers have a volunteer induction before starting in role and are supported by both the volunteer team and a member of staff in the service too.
