About the Opportunity
Camp Birch 2025 is a free or pay-what-you-can nature-based programme for young adults aged 18–25 who are feeling low, disconnected, or ready for a fresh start. It’s designed to support mental health, build community, and explore what matters most — especially through the winter months.

The journey includes:
• Two immersive nature camps
– Intro Camp: 5–7 September 2025 (2 nights)
– Reflection Camp: 2–5 April 2026 (3 nights)
• Monthly evening sessions (Aug 2025 – Mar 2026)
– Confidence and skill-building
– Peer support and reflection
– Try out new wellbeing and connection practices between sessions

The programme is run by The Birch Collective, experienced facilitators in youth development, wellbeing, and outdoor learning. It’s a small, supportive group, and all food, equipment, and transport are included.

We welcome returning participants — preference is given to those who have previously attended Birch sessions. No experience necessary, just a willingness to give it a go.

Location
Camp locations are 35–45 minutes from Bristol
Monthly sessions are held in East Bristol
Free minibus transport provided for all activities

What’s Included
• All food (dietary needs catered for)
• Equipment (e.g. sleeping bags, boots if needed)
• Free transport to and from sessions
• Optional follow-up support through Fresh Air Thursdays (weekly wellbeing and land skills group)

Who is it for?
• Aged 18–25
• Living in or near Bristol
• Feeling low, stuck, isolated, or unsure what’s next
• Looking to build confidence and community through nature
• Especially helpful for those who find winter months challenging

What past participants say
“The time I got to spend with others on camp was so magical and beautiful I can’t fully describe it. If you're struggling with mental health or socialising, please give it a go.”

“It gave me the confidence boost I needed and helped me feel more like myself.”
