We are looking for a team of volunteers who are passionate about supporting people who may have needs surrounding mental health, domestic abuse and sexual abuse, and are able to provide administrative and reception skills for our organisation.
In this role you will provide administrative and reception support to the Missing Link team in order to allow workers to provide an effective and quality service to clients. You will act as a professional and approachable first point of contact for clients, staff, professionals and members of the public. Volunteers in these roles will enhance the services Missing Link provides significantly, while being able to develop considerable experience, knowledge and understanding in this area of work.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing a professional and welcoming first point of contact for face-to face, phone and email enquiries and visitors.
- Primarily the role will involve responding to phone calls by either dealing with the enquiry, or signposting to another team member or party.
- Other responsibilities of the role will be based on the exact needs of the administration/reception team and may include:
- General office duties (including photocopying and filing)
- Database input
- Letter/email writing
- Processing information
- Carrying out other relevant tasks as required
Person specification
Skills
- Good general administrative skills, including attention to detail.
- Excellent computer skills, including an aptitude for using the internet and Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisation skills, including diary and time management.

- This role is only available to applicants over the age of 18.

Availability
We ask volunteers to commit to one 4-hour shift a week (day to be discussed) and to volunteer with us for a minimum of 6 months.
