Missing Link’s Flats in Management is a small stock of independent living flats accommodating women who are able to manage their own tenancy with low level support intervention. The FIMs (Flats In Management) Support Volunteer will assist the Housing and Support Coordinator (Flats In Management) to manage these tenancies by providing essential administrative support. Volunteers in this role will enhance the services Missing Link provides significantly, while being able to develop considerable experience, knowledge and understanding in this area of work.

Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Housing and Support Coordinator to complete health and safety assessments in Missing Link Flats in Management.
- Arranging repairs and maintenance for Missing Link Flats in Management.
- Making telephone calls to clients and third parties.
- Updating client notes on our case management system.
- To provide general admin support to the Housing and Support Coordinator.
Person Specification:
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Very confident in using computer packages, particularly with regards to data entry.
- You will have a non-judgemental and open attitude.
- This role is only available to applicants over the age of 18.
- A clear, professional and friendly telephone manner.
- An ability to be reliable and punctual.
Please note we will require all volunteers to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check – this will not incur a cost for the volunteer.
Training and support:
You will receive an induction to cover everything you need to know about the organisation and client group, this may include mental health, domestic abuse and/or sexual abuse training. You will be trained on the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding as well as professional boundaries.
During your volunteering you will always be supervised by a member of staff so support is available at all times. You will also have regular one to ones with your supervisor and the opportunity to discuss any issues or concerns with the volunteer co-ordinator.
Availability:
We ask volunteers to commit to one 4-hour shift a week (day to be discussed) and to volunteer with us for a minimum of 6 months.
