Milestones Trust is a health and social care charity supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and dementia. The Trust provides residential, nursing and community support services to around 750 people living in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset areas.
An individual that we support in one of our supported living homes in Bishopston is looking for someone to socialise with and to help them access the community. Their main interest is music, but they also like art and cycling. They would benefit from being accompanied to gigs or to the art group that Milestones run for the people we support.
Can you help?
We are looking for volunteers who are compassionate and patient with good social skills and who share similar interests as the person we support. Ideally this would be a weekly or fortnightly volunteer role, or as often as volunteers are able to commit. We provide a thorough induction, and support to volunteers throughout their role.
We can cover travel and some activity expenses.
Please note, for all of our volunteer roles a DBS check will be carried out and references will be taken up. All volunteers have a volunteer induction before starting the role and will be supported by both the volunteer team and a member of staff in the service too.
Please get in touch with the volunteer coordinator directly to express your interest in this role :
