Our Afterschool Play Sessions and Holiday Lunch Clubs at The Vench help local children and families struggling with food poverty to access a healthy hot meal and a safe place to play outside of school.
These can't happen without our amazing volunteers - can you give a regular Thursday or Friday evening (3-6pm) during term-time or half a day on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday during the school holidays?
We have a very friendly and supportive team of volunteers led by our super-hero community chef, Maxine. Together we chop veg, prep salad and snacks, bake and wash up - we cook a main and a pudding for up to 70 kids a day!
It's always a lovely day - you will struggle to not come back again and again once you have come once! Email lunchclub@groundwork.org.uk or call 0117 910 3930 and speak to Amy for more information.
