Celebrate summer with The Birch Collective at Boiling Wells Amphitheatre for a special 16–25s evening as part of the Festival of Community and The Festival of Nature. Expect storytelling, games, fire, and activities to help you meet other people your age in a relaxed outdoor space. This event is being run and delivered by participants from Fresh Air Thursdays, offering a chance to experience Birch through the people who shape it. Whether you already know us or are joining for the first time, you are very welcome. Booking is essential due to limited capacity. Book via the Can Do Bristol Festival of Community page.
Accessibility information
Boiling Wells is a sloping woodland site with uneven and sometimes muddy ground, especially after heavy rain. Some lower paths have a woodchip surface and there is an accessible toilet, but wheelchair users would likely need support in parts of the site. Some areas, including the upper slopes and Roundhouse, are not wheelchair accessible. If you’d like to talk through access needs before booking, please contact the team at team@thebirchcollective.co.uk.
Travel information
Boiling Wells is part of the St Werburghs City Farm site, accessed via Watercress Road, St Werburghs, Bristol, BS2 9YJ.
Foot: You can reach the site on foot or by bike via the railway tunnel on Mina Road, or using nearby footpaths through the area.
Bus: Mina Road / York Road for the 25, Ashley Down Road / Sommerville Road for the 70 and 73, and Muller Road for the 24 and 17.
Train: Ashley Down station is around a 10-minute walk away, and Montpelier station is around 15–20 minutes on foot.
Car: If you’re driving, parking is limited on Watercress Road. For Boiling Wells specifically, it’s best to park near the main City Farm site and walk down the lane, as the Boiling Wells site itself is further down a private road.
Extra note:
For all outdoor sessions, we recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear, especially in wetter conditions.
