⭐??Facilitating Support - Community Cooking Class ??⭐

Thursday 14th, 21st, 28th November and 5th December 10:45 - 2:45

We support care leavers, young asylum seekers, youth recovering from homelessness and fleeing domestic violence.

We are running a 4 week cooking program here at the MAZI project. The classes are supporting maginalised young people to learn new cooking skills, celebrate food and grow their self confidence.

We will be creating a person centred, relaxed and supportive environment to come together to talk about food and learn new cooking skills.

We are looking for 2 volunteers to co-facilitate.

Main roles will be making sure people are safe in the kitchen with sharp equipment etc, keeping on top of cleaning and washing up, creating a calm and welcoming environment for the young people attending the sessions. You should have experience cooking from scratch, feel confident working with people from different backgrounds and enjoy problem solving!

If you are interested in applying to support me in the sessions please drop me an email to express your interest. Please include a very brief discription of why you would like to volunteer with us and any relevant experience you might have.
