We are seeking corporate partners to support Roots to Wellbeing, our flagship mental health programme delivered in local parks across Bristol.

Roots to Wellbeing provides weekly, nature-based support for adults experiencing mental health challenges. People are referred through GPs and community partners and take part in regular sessions close to home, using parks as welcoming, non-clinical spaces to support recovery, routine and connection.

Corporate support helps us sustain and expand this proven programme, ensuring people facing isolation, anxiety and depression can access consistent, inclusive support in their own communities.

This is a values-led partnership opportunity, shaped around shared commitment to health, equity and community wellbeing.

What Roots to Wellbeing delivers

Roots creates regular, supportive spaces where people:

  • Take part in gentle outdoor and nature-based activities

  • Spend time with others and feel part of a group

  • Build routines that support mental wellbeing

  • Reconnect with their local park and community

Sessions run weekly in small groups and are designed around people’s needs, including mobility, confidence, sensory needs and caring responsibilities.

Why this matters

Many people face barriers to accessing traditional mental health support. Parks offer a local, accessible and preventative setting for wellbeing, when the right support is in place.

Our evidence shows that Roots participants experience:

  • Improved mental wellbeing and happiness

  • Reduced anxiety and isolation

  • Increased physical activity

  • Greater confidence and sense of belonging

This demonstrates how parks can play a meaningful role in supporting mental health at a community level.

How corporate partners can help

Corporate partners may support Roots through:

  • Sponsoring participant places or sessions

  • Helping cover delivery costs such as staff time, materials and coordination

  • Supporting expansion into neighbourhoods with high demand

We are happy to shape partnerships collaboratively and explore light-touch recognition where appropriate.

This work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing), 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
