We are looking for corporate partners to support a programme of free, family-friendly events in parks across South Bristol and Inner City neighbourhoods during the summer.
These events will create welcoming, inclusive opportunities for families to spend time together outdoors, enjoy local parks and connect with others in their community.
Corporate support will help ensure events are free to attend, accessible and delivered in areas where families face barriers to green space, cost and safe outdoor activity.
This is centred on wellbeing, access and local connection.
What the events will offer
Our summer family events will:
-
Take place in local parks in South Bristol and Inner City areas
-
Offer relaxed, inclusive activities for families of all ages
-
Encourage time outdoors, play and connection
-
Create positive experiences in neighbourhood parks
Events are designed to be low-pressure, welcoming and easy to drop into, particularly for families who may not usually attend organised activities.
Why this matters
For many families, parks are the only free, local spaces available during the summer holidays.
By supporting these events, partners help:
-
Reduce isolation for families and carers
-
Support physical and mental wellbeing
-
Strengthen community connection
-
Increase confidence using local parks
This early, positive engagement with parks also helps families return independently, extending the benefit beyond the event itself.
How corporate partners can help
Corporate partners may support this programme by:
-
Sponsoring individual events or a series of events
-
Helping cover costs such as facilitation, materials or food
-
Supporting delivery in specific neighbourhoods
We are keen to shape partnerships collaboratively and keep community experience at the centre.
This work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing), 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
