Get out of the office and be a farmer for a day
Experience a day on our urban community market garden, growing food in nature-friendly ways to help tackle food insecurity in the city.
Expect a fulfilling and enjoyable day out with plenty of farming activities and an opportunity to improve your team's health, wellbeing and team cohesion, whilst contributing to positive change in Bristol.
What we charge
We provide community farming days for business at a cost of:
- £40 per person for a full day (Lunch included)
- £25 per person for a half day (Lunch included)
This covers the cost for materials and tools, staff time, a supply of hot drinks throughout the day and lunch. We aim for a minimum group size of 5 and a maximum of 15.
Community Farming Days for not-for-profit organizations are free. Though we ask those that can give a donation.
If you’d be interested in supporting Lush Greens with a donation as part of your B-Corp or CSR commitments, then please get in touch to discuss further. We are always looking for partners to build longer-term supportive relationships with our community farm.

What we offer
Learn to grow vegetables at scale
- Last year we grew around 4 tonnes of vegetables for our local community. You’ll learn some of the skills and techniques involved.
Create positive change in Bristol
- We supply veg to food charities in Bristol such as Foodbanks, deliver green social prescribing projects in partnership with frontline organisations, and build community cohesion through our regular community volunteer days. Your day with us contributes to this positive change within Bristol, increasing ours and your social impact.
Spend time outside in nature
- Spend time outside in a flourishing green space in Bristol, connecting you to wildlife and nature below and above ground.
Improve health and wellbeing
- Spending time outside in nature with other people helps improve health and wellbeing at an individual and group level: contributing to a more cohesive and thriving team within your organisation.
Regenerate soil and biodiversity
- We use nature-friendly farming methods that regenerate soil life, captures carbon and increases biodiversity within the local environment. Your contribution helps increase these benefits.
Team building
- During your time with us we will be completing a variety of farm tasks, such as making compost, planting vegetables and tending to crops, all of which require working well as a team. The day will bring your employees closer together to improve team cohesion and relationships.
Example itinerary for a full day community farming
9:15am - arrive and welcome, followed by an introduction and tour of the farm
10am - morning seasonal farming activities
11am - hot drink break
11:30am - late morning seasonal farming activities
1pm - lunch cooked with available seasonal produce from the farm
1:45pm - afternoon seasonal farming activities
2:45pm afternoon hot drink break
3pm - late afternoon seasonal farming activities
4pm - finishing activities and down tools for the day
4:15pm - goodbyes and depart
