Hear from Councillors Heather Mack (Deputy Leader of the council) and Stephen Williams (Chair of Public Health and Communities Committee), keynote speakers and a panel discussion with voluntary and community groups from across Bristol about the key role social action plays in driving positive change in Bristol.
Lucy Holburn, Social Impact Coach & Facilitator, will be chairing the panel and comes with over twenty-five years of experience working and volunteering with communities, charities, and social enterprises. Joining the panel will be:
- Gnisha Bevan - Co-leader of Black Seeds Environmental Social Justice Network
- Anne Sue - Founder of One Green Kitchen CIC
- Victoria Rivera-Ugarte - Member of Friendly Neighbours resident-led group and resident of Dove Street, Bristol
- Ruby Osunsola - Impact, Evaluation and Fundraising lead at Black Mothers Matter
They will be exploring the role that social action plays in the city, the barriers people face in getting involved in their community, and what we can do, as a city, to break down these barriers.
