Volunteers Required to help with installation of art works at Expressions Exhibition Event, 19th- 21st July 2022
Milestones Trust supports people with learning disabilities, mental health needs, dementia, and those with complex behavioural needs. ‘Expressions’ is a year-long programme of creative arts events and workshops that culminates in an exhibition that is open to the public. The focus for Expressions has always been to make the arts accessible, interactive and a source of well-being. This year’s exhibition will take place from July 22nd to 26th at the Paintworks, and we are especially looking forward to it as we haven’t held one for a long time due to Covid-19.
We are looking for volunteers to help artists install art works, for three days in the run up to the festival. We are ideally looking for people with a passion for the arts and who have some experience or are wanting to gain experience with installation. The two works that need support are:
Working with installation artist Tina Brown
Volunteers will assist with the installation of a large-scale sculpture in the Paintworks event space. We are looking for 1-2 people to help out with this installation over 19th-21st July, at the Paintworks. Some art appreciation and some ladder and scaffold work is required for the role.
Working with Video artist Giles Webberley
Volunteers will assist in the installation and build of a video dark space. We are looking for 1-2 volunteers to help out with this installation over 19th-21st July in the Paintworks event space. Some knowledge of video work and projection is required for the role.
