Do you enjoy getting out and about, meeting new people, and supporting others to take part in their local community? We're looking for a volunteer to accompany people we support at our Tramways service to local community activities, including art sessions and coffee mornings.
What will you be doing?
- Support a person we support to attend local community activities (Art sessions and coffee mornings)
- Accompany them to art sessions or coffee mornings at a local community hub
- Encourage social interaction and community involvement
- Help someone take part in activities they enjoy and build confidence in the community
Who are we looking for?
You don't need previous experience. We're looking for someone who is patient, reliable, and enjoys spending time with others. An interest in art would be helpful, but it is not essential.
When?
Ideally weekly or monthly, depending on what works best for you and the service.
What's in it for you?
- Make a positive difference in someone's life
- Support people to access and enjoy their local community
- Build meaningful connections and gain valuable volunteering experience
- Travel expenses covered for each volunteering shift
- Full induction, training, and ongoing support provided
Interested?
Get in touch today and help someone enjoy their local community through shared activities, conversation, and companionship.
