ACTIVITIES MANAGER FOR MANOR FARM COMMUNITY HUB CIC

Now the new Community Centre in Manor Farm is nearing completion (anticipated to be April 2024) we need an enthusiastic, passionate and experienced Activities Manager to join us in a voluntary role  until the Centre is open.

This role is open as from now due to a timewaster who was in post for a very short time earlier this year.

Once the Centre is open there will then be the possibility of this becoming a paid role for the right person  – if we are the successful community group to run the centre on residents behalf – and remuneration to be discussed and agreed at a comparable average national hourly rate

Position: Voluntary (hours to suit)

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to make a real difference volunteering to organise and coordinate community events and activities on an occasional basis within Manor Farm in which all residents can participate and enjoy, which long-term will promote a stronger community in the area of Manor Farm.

We are seeking someone who likes to bring people together, who is keen to do things that improve residents’ lives, and who is keen to commit long-term to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and implement various activities that cater for and are attractive to all residents
  2. Ensure activities that are culturally and sensitively appropriate and promote social inclusion
  3. Encourage and motivate residents to partake in the activities.
  4. Manage, monitor and evaluate activates undertaken.
  5. Work as part of a team as you will be leading an Activities Group that will work together to organise activities
  6. Ensure activities comply with health and safety principles and our Health and Safety policy
  7. Adhere to the principles of effective and safe safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.

Your Strengths:

  1. You will be an ideas person and a people person who likes to bring people together, whether for a fun activity or some other activity that will improve and enhance their lives as residents in Manor Farm
  2. Relevant experience in a similar role
  3. A wish to commit long-term to assisting a group of similarly very committed people
