New Year ? New Volunteering Opportunity in Manor Farm, Horfield
Manor Farm Community Hub CIC seeks a Treasurer and a Finance Assistant (volunteer roles)
These two posts currently need filling on our Core Group responsible for running the recently opened brand new St Peter’s Community Centre in Manor Farm, which is fast becoming a major hub of activity in the local area, bringing the local community closer together.
Together these posts will form the Finance Team for the organisation, also working closely with other Core group members.
We hold a Core Group meeting monthly, and other meetings on specific matters as and when necessary. Communication within our friendly group is via email and also a WhatsApp group for day-to-day update and actions
Treasurer – the overall role is to oversee and ensure the financial health of the organisation:
- Present financial reports of current funds and budgets at Core Group meetings
- Maintain financial records, monitor cash flow
- Produce annual accounts for Companies House and ensure all their requirements are complied with
- Banking – act as one of three signatories on the bank account
- Advise the rest of the group on financial risks
- Act as point of contact with our accountant
- A knowledge of Quickfiles desirable
- We are looking for people who would like to commit long-term
Finance Assistant – the overall tole is to act as support to the Treasurer by undertaking day-to-day tasks:
- Production of monthly and one-off invoices to hirers using Quickfiles
- Set up payments to our suppliers via the bank
- Act as one of 3 signatories on the bank account
- Assisting the Treasurer with other tasks as and when needed
- We are looking for people who would like to commit long-term
