Manor Farm Community Hub CIC seeks an enthusiastic Activities Coordinator.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic person to make a real difference to the community of Manor Farm (in Horfield ward, north Bristol).

The person appointed to this voluntary role will organise and coordinate occasional community events and activities for all Manor Farm residents to enjoy. We want to develop and promote a stronger local community, and in doing so become the leaseholders of a new community centre/hub.

We are seeking someone who likes to bring people together, who is keen to do things that improve residents’ lives, and who is keen to commit long-term to this role.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and implement activities that cater for, and are attractive to, all residents.
  • Lead an Activities Group that will work together to deliver activities.
  • Encourage and motivate residents to participate in the activities.
  • Ensure that activities are culturally and sensitively appropriate and promote social inclusion.
  • Ensure activities comply with health and safety principles and our Health and Safety policy.
  • Adhere to the principles of effective and safe safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Manage, monitor, and evaluate activates undertaken.

Benefits of working with us

  • Joining a supportive working environment.
  • Being part of a hard working and friendly group of residents and volunteers.
  • Flexible volunteer working.
  • A role that could lead to a nationally paid role when the community centre/hub is open.
