Volunteer since 1990 mostly at Industrial Museum & M Shed including fireman & trainee driver on BHR, fireman on Mayflower and the Steam Crane, assisting curator in the stores by documenting, photographing, assessing condition, helping relocate objects.  Worked with curator in 2006 to create M Shed Behind the Scenes Tours, and then delivering them to the public. 

Also acted as Critical Friend for 3-year Paul Hamlyn Foundation funded project re co-working with communities.

Also some general public-facing volunteering including regular VA at Banksy Exhibition (the first volunteer to get involved), Archaeology Festival at Blaise,  and other mass audience public events.

Member of Friends committee (trustee) since 2006, Chair since 2011.
