We are a free community newspaper.

WHO ARE WE?

"Shire" is a free community newspaper, distributed to 5000 homes in Shirehampton and to businesses, clubs and other organisations.  We also publish online at Shire.org.uk (Take a look at the website for a good overview of who we are and what we do.) We are run entirely by volunteers. 

WHAT DO WE COVER?

Shire tries to report on, reflect and celebrate as many aspects of the life of Shirehampton and our neighbouring villages as we can fit in to a 24 page paper. 

HOW ARE WE FUNDED?

Advertising by local businesses currently makes up the vast majority of our income. 

WHAT DO WE NEED?

We are always looking for volunteers to join the team in various roles.  These include finance, advertising, editing, reporting, photography, distribution, website management, archiving and designing. If you have another skill or interest that you think could contribute to our work, please let us know!
