Welcome to the RWA

Founded in 1844, the RWA is a historic art gallery in the heart of Bristol. Step through the door to visit an exhibition; take part in an event or art class; enjoy the café and shop, and freely explore our Grade II* listed building, family room and community displays. Everyone is warmly welcome to the RWA creative community.

We are an independent charity that relies on the generosity of our volunteers to bring exhibitions, events and workshops to the public. Joining us as a volunteer opens you up to a wide community of art lovers, first-hand experience of what it takes to run a gallery, and opportunities to try something new.

We have lots of interesting opportunities available - we look forward to having you on the team!
