A community 'Working Party' of volunteers who come togther once a month to respectfully cut back brambles and grass around graves and keep pathways clear. While also considering the hidden haven this place is for wildlife. We welcome any new volunteers to our group who meet every fourth Saturday of the month, from 11am -1pm, at the gates on Ashdene Avenue.
This creation of this group has been acheived with help from, the BCC Parks Department, Cemetery Management, the Bristol and Avon Family History Society, interested locals, Friends of Ridgeway Park cemetery face book group, an Ecologist from Team Wilder, Street Goat, and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
We provide H&S guidance, hand tools and gloves if needed. This all began in March 2024, and we are keen to keep going in 2025. It has evolved into a really lovely community event, where new friendships have been made. When its dry we have visiting goats on leads from Street goat, which makes it even more special.
