I’m 34 years old, a mother, and currently completing my MSc in Civil Engineering after achieving a First Class BEng in Civil & Environmental Engineering. Becoming a parent has strengthened my motivation to contribute to safe, sustainable environments for future generations. I’ve developed a real passion for research, from fire risk in heritage buildings to sustainable façade systems, and I’m especially driven by projects that combine innovation with practical benefits. Alongside my studies, I bring over ten years of professional experience in customer service, technical support, and leadership, which has equipped me with strong communication and organisational skills. I’m also committed to giving back, having supported community initiatives at UWE such as the Uniform Swap Shop, which promoted sustainability and reduced financial barriers for students. Balancing study, family, and work has taught me resilience and adaptability, qualities I’m eager to carry forward into a project where I can make a meaningful impact.
