About
Volunteer Co-Ordinator
Hi, I’m Lauren, a Volunteer Co-ordinator with the British Red Cross, working within the Health and Care – Independent Living Service. Our team supports vulnerable adults — often older people, but anyone over 18 — to stay safe, well, and independent at home after a hospital stay or a difficult time in the community. We provide short-term, light-touch support to help people regain confidence and stability. Whether that’s practical help, emotional reassurance, or simply being a friendly face, we’re there during that crucial transition period. My role involves supporting volunteers who deliver this compassionate care, and connecting people with longer-term support by signposting them to the right services and organisations in Bristol. If you're interested in volunteering or partnering with us to support people at home, I’d love to hear from you. Together, we can help build a more connected, caring city.
