I am an English literature postgraduate, with a deep commitment to education and social justice. I achieved a First-Class degree with Honours in English and American literature and was awarded a scholarship to study a Masters degree in Postcolonial and World Literatures at the University of St Andrews. I focussed on the history of colonialism and the topics of race, class, immigration and education in contemporary society. 

I have worked as a carer for a man with down syndrome, and have volunteered as a swimming instructor for SEND children in Thailand as well as teaching pupils environmental awareness through classroom activities and beach-cleaning initiatives. 

I have excellent written, editing, proofreading, IT and research skills, with a wealth of experience in supervisory, customer-service and educational roles.
