About
I'm currently unemployed.
As a school leaver, I went into the mailing industry, then went on to become a health care assistant on a Cardiothoracic high dependency unit at St Bartholomew's in London. When I moved to Bristol, I had my 2 children, and wanted something that fitted in with their school hours, whilst still being able to pursue further education. I volunteered as a nursery practitioner at The Limes in Whitehall Bristol, and also done my college placement there, as well as Bannerman Rd community academy in order to get my evidence. As an empath, the inner feelings, and wellbeing of others is very important to me. I understand the impact of feeling isolated and alone can have on people of all ages, as this is something I have experience in. I am passionate about working with those that are deemed vulnerable in society, such as special care, support, or protection because of age, disability, risk of abuse or neglect, whether that be in their home or in a care setting. As a person, i would describe myself as kind, altruistic and always ready to help. I am an excellent listener with endless patience which has served me well in my previous roles, and also with both of my children who are diagnosed ASD and ADHD. I thrive when working under pressure and as part of a team, but also very competent when having to navigate through work on my own, ensuring I prioritise the necessary tasks ahead. I like to remain solution focused wherever problems may arise, and welcome new challenges however they present themselves.
