About
Unique Heritage Site and Nature Reserve in the heart of Bristol
Arnos Vale is a unique 45-acre site in the middle of Bristol. Whilst still operating as a cemetery and burial ground, the site is primarily managed for conservation and supports an incredible array of wild habitats, from established woodland to species-rich grassland. Much of the work we do to manage these habitats is undertaken by our amazing volunteer groups who turn up for our regular sessions every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning. With such a large site to maintain there's always something to do, so the sessions are generally quite varied. We can find work for all skill levels and abilities, and always finish a session with a full teapot and a tin packed with biscuits. If you're keen conservationist, a green fingered gardener, or just want to spend some time keeping active outdoors whilst surrounded by Bristol history then please get in touch, it would be great to have you come and join in!
