Policy and Development Manager

I have a diverse background spanning policy, academia, and leadership in both community and corporate settings. Currently, I work as the Policy and Development Manager at a local racial justice charity. Alongside this, I have been teaching at university level, with a focus on global governance and international development. My PhD research explores sustainable housing in Cape Town’s townships, particularly the role of social enterprises and Ubuntu-based approaches. In another life, I worked in the hospitality sector as an Assistant Manager at a four-star hotel, where I managed multiple teams and departments, overseeing operations, customer service, and staff development. Across all these roles, I have developed strong leadership, research, and project management skills, with a commitment to social justice, community empowerment, and systemic change.
