I work full time for Business West as a Project Co-Ordinator. Over the years I have arranged a number of fund raisers for UK and International charities, for example; I raised money via school events, at my children's junior school for various, local, national and international charities. For personal reasons I fund raised for MAG (Mines Advisory Group) https://www.maginternational.org/ who train locals to clear land mines in war torn communities. I also hosted a charity ball for my 50 birthday to raise money for the Rainbow Dreams Trust https://www.rainbowdreamstrust.org/, who help disadvantaged and displaced children in the Cape Town Townships. I have raised money for Breast Cancer research. And the medical detection dogs interests me as early detection of any disease can only we a helpful thing for all concerned. Having had cancer myself, and having lost my husband to it, these sorts of charities are very close to my heart.
