Experience

I have worked in financial services for nearly 41 years, as a banker, financial adviser, and compliance officer for life, pensions, investments, retail banking, an insurer and latterly as a director for an insurance broker. As well as learning the practicalities of finance and business, customer service and interaction with staff and the public has been a consistent element.

Outside of Work

Comedy, music, pets and TV all feature in my free time. I take a keen interest in current affairs and history - although claim to be good at neither! I have played accordion for nearly 50 years and, although no longer a performer, I am deputy chair of the National Accordion Organisation of the UK and serve as a volunteer international adjudicator for both the British College of Accordionsists and the Confederation Mondiale De L'Accordeon.

Full clean UK driving licence and own car.

Looking for

A few hours per week - regular or sporadic - of non-physically challenging activities. No weekends or evenings.
