Dementia awareness raising

We are a non-profit making, community-based project, mostly resourced by volunteers.

We are also part of an “Alliance” of similar groups throughout the UK, working towards enabling their communities to become more dementia aware.

We aim to enable Bristol to become a “Dementia Aware Community”

BDAA runs a memory cafe once a month in Westbury-on-Trym and is active in helping other groups to set up memory cafes and other groups that people with dementia can access.

Our volunteers help at the memory cafe, with information sharing, running events and supporting our small team of staff. Do get in touch if you are interested in helping in any way.
