Listening to children read in local primary schools.

Schoolreaders need volunteers to go into local primary schools in a range of areas across Bristol during the school day to listen to children read to them 1:1. The volunteer needs to be able to commit to once a week during the term time for one hour or more.

Our volunteers get enormous pleasure from seeing the difference that a few hours of their time can make to a child's reading ability, confidence and enjoyment.

If you have some time to spare, a good grasp of written English and if you enjoy spending time with children, you could become a Schoolreader. Our volunteers are drawn from all walks of life, and range in age from 18+.
