My Cause UK offers you a chance to become a festival volunteer at the UK’s biggest events, while making an impact for a charity and cause you care about! We are the UK’s leading festival volunteer community!
We’ve provided over 5,000 festival volunteers to the UK’s biggest events such as Boomtown Fair, Boardmasters, Love Saves The Day, Forwards, British Summer Time, All Points East, Noisily, Shambala & many more...
Most importantly we believe in making an impact for causes our volunteers are passionate about! So far we’ve donated over £200,000 to 750+ charities chosen by our volunteer community. It’s simple – you donate your time and in return we make a cash donation to any charity you choose on your behalf.
You don’t need to raise any money or make a donation yourself. You simply pay a deposit for an event, complete your shifts, and get your deposit back after the event is over. We then make a donation based on a fee we receive from the event organisers.
Volunteering is a great way to make new friends and develop your interpersonal skills! You also get free access to world class events, often saving up to £280 on ticket fees.
Volunteering with My Cause UK means you become part of a community that is exciting, adventurous and passionate about making a change in the world we live in! To top it off, you get to do this for free while gaining experience working in the music and events industry, which also looks incredible on your CV!
Volunteering is not only great for yourself but also for your CV too, so here are five reasons how volunteering could boost your health, happiness and employability!
1. It will leave you feeling fulfilled and positive – by helping others you are not only benefiting their wellbeing, but also helping your own wellbeing and mental health too. It’s human nature to feel good after you’ve had a positive impact on someone else’s life.
2. Expand your employability skills! Volunteering can help you gain valuable new skills and experiences, that you might not usually have done otherwise. These skills can be transferred across to your CV and job applications to give you a better chance at securing the jobs you want.
3. Boost your confidence by stepping outside your comfort zone. Volunteering often involves meeting new people and doing new things, leaving you more confident in your ability and skills. Let employers see just how confident you are through your CV, job application and interview.
4. Build relationships in your local community. Volunteering is a great way to get to know your local community better and give back to your local area – and can also be beneficial when looking for employment opportunities too!
5. Find what’s right for you. It’s an opportunity to try out different jobs and get an insight into different organisations, perhaps different to the ones you would never have experience of otherwise. This can help you decide the right career path for you and get a greater understanding of jobs available to you
