Sea Cadets inspires young people aged 10-18 to achieve their potential through challenge and nautical adventure, guided by the customs and traditions of today's Royal Navy.
We aim to launch every young person for life in today's evolving world, with experiences, activities and qualifications that aren't always available elsewhere.
Bristol Knowle Sea Cadets is based in the community and provide indoor and outdoor education for young people to attend up to 2 nights a week - as well as a range of activities on weekends and during school holidays and term time.
We provide a number of waterborne activities including Rowing, Kayaking, Powerboating, Sailing & Windsurfing, as well as a number of land-based activities including Campcraft, Map-reading, Leadership & Teamwork exercises, First Aid, Catering, Engineering, STEM, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
Cadets and volunteers can earn nationally recognised qualifications from the RYA, British Rowing, PaddleUK, CVC BTECs, St Johns Ambulance, Qualsafe and more
We have six values that guide us and our young people:
- Respect: “To be inclusive, appreciate others and considerate of all.”
- Loyalty: “To be faithful to those who value and support me.”
- Self-Discipline: “To do my best and do what I must."
- Commitment: “To do what I say I will.”
- Honesty & Integrity: “To tell the truth and be a good person.”
- Courage: “To do what I know is right.”
