About

We provide a platform for local business and initiatives to connect with the community, bringing opportunities for better community cohesion

We are a group of volunteers working hard to maintain a common value which is by holding local events and supporting businesses we help keep the “heart of our community” as this is where we share experiences, family and friends, culture, foods and employment.

Here are some of our organisation aims that we are working towards;

  • Promoting job opportunities especially for those that are underrepresented
  • Representing and helping to grow new businesses
  • Encouraging young people to engage more actively within their communities   
  • Bringing the community together and building bridges between postcodes, generations, cultural and disability barriers.
  • Reduce crime and build relationships between the community 
  • Promote Health and Well Being services
  • Give local people and businesses a good networking opportunity and promote local community assets by putting them on the map 
  • Promote educational, physical and emotional awareness within our local community by creating a fun and positive environment 
  • Offer volunteer opportunities for all ages 
  • Encouraging intergenerational engagement

    We are asking for more volunteers to join us on our journey.  There are so many ways that you can support DET Entertainment when it comes to volunteering, Volunteering can mean lending us your expertise on areas such as policies and procedures, legal advice, admin,stewarding, cooking, driving, fund raising, setting up & packing down, litter picking and so much more, it can be a great way to add to your CV or build your work skills if you have been out of work for a while or just plainly want to give back to the community/society.
