Volunteer coordination plus communications and engagement. Working for Bristol's communities, all through Covid-19.

I'm a Bristolian and available to help. In April 2020's lockdown I helped a Nextdoor district to collaborate and encouraged them since to join up here too. In my day job I am a Volunteer Coordinator for the council's Covid-19 Volunteer Operations Team, matching volunteers (who came from here on CDB) with residents who contact the We Are Bristol freephone helpline to get support, such as: telephone befriending; food shopping; prescription collections; dog-walking and more. Call We Are Bristol free on: 0800 694 0184 (8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 10am to 2pm. Translation service available). Currently we are helping people to self-isolate for a 10-day period when they are advised to by Track and Trace, or Bristol's Welfare & Support team.
