Volunteer Youth Worker
After School Bikes
Last year, the Bristol Bike Project helped over 500 young people fix their bikes, helping them continue to enjoy the freedom, independence and joy that cycling brings. Join our team as a Volunteer Youth Worker, and help more young people keep cycling.
Our After School Bikes (ASB) programme, runs every Friday (from 3-5:30pm), in our Community Workshop on Seymour Road, BS5.
We are looking for fun, dynamic and enthusiastic people to commit to volunteering with us once a week for at least three months. As a Volunteer Youth Worker, you will play an integral role in helping to facilitate our ASB sessions, by supporting young people as they learn to fix their bikes.
This is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to get into youth work.
No previous experience of bike mechanics is necessary, just an enthusiasm to learn how to fix bikes and work with young people. You will be supported by our experienced team, to help young people gain the freedom and independence that cycling brings.
