Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Batch Cook Club. We would love your support during our sessions at St Anne’s House. Here are some details. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any additional questions. You do not need to commit to every session - we are happy to have a different volunteer for each week, as required.
Key tasks:
- Help Laurie and Seema (co-founders of Batch Cook Club) with setting up the kitchen and cafe space for cooking class and lunch
- Welcome participants and offer / serve hot drinks
- During session, keep on top of the washing up to ensure tidy workspace
- Support with serving community lunch
- Help with tidying up and cleaning after community lunch
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the sessions, if appropriate.
Skills / Qualities:
- Basic cooking skills and an interest in food preparation.
- A friendly and approachable manner.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
- An understanding of (or willingness to learn about) food safety and hygiene practices.
- Reliability and a proactive attitude.

Volunteers are kindly asked to arrive at 9:30am to help with setup and stay until around 3pm for cleanup.
